Overview
Despite being the first President to face impeachment in over 100 years, Ellen Wilson makes a surprise comeback victory during the 1996 United States presidential election, defeating Democratic nominee Jerry Brown. Political consultant believed her seeds for her comeback was planted due to her courageous coming out, but was secured due to her handling of the Bombing of Johnson Space Center. Wilson's toughest challenge against her previous Vice President James Bragg in the Republican primaries. Wilson managed to win the Republican nomination when she was endorsed by George H. W. Bush, who became her running mate during the 1996 election. Wilson also managed to win the votes of moderate-conservative Democrats who believed Jerry Brown was leaned too far to the left.
